CourseRate: Another Kind of Syllabus

Akita International University is still a name unfamiliar to many. Yet on this small campus, there is a truly unique environment—where students challenge and inspire each other, where professors come from diverse global backgrounds, and where partnerships with universities around the world provide rich opportunities for learning. Among the many classes we take here, some shape our futures or shift our perspectives in unforgettable ways. But those meaningful encounters and moments of real learning don't always show up in the course catalog or syllabus. That's where CourseRate comes in. CourseRate is a platform where students review the classes they've taken—from the content and teaching style to the atmosphere of the classroom—so future students can make more informed course selections and career plans.
